The right side track of my case 450 is loose and stays that way now. I put grease in it to snug 'er up and after a few short passes she's all loose again. I figger there is a bolt/plug or something missing and thats why it's losing pressure? However I haven't been noticing any grease on the ground or on the tracks. Suggestions?

I just went through my track adjusters last year. After getting really good at putting them back on with a comealong and 6' bar. The tracks I mean. They were shot. The seals were bad and the piston that the seals ride on was pitted badly. Behind the piston is a huge coil spring - one side it was broken. The housing was rusted badly too. I replaced the whole works on both sides. My chain was worn and snake like, so I was able to pull the tracks off the idlers and slide the idlers off the front then replace the adjusters. Many of the bolts were a struggle to get out but a drill and an easy out helped. It wasnt fun but the machine works great now and hardly needs the ol grease gun to keep the tracks tight. My case dealer ordered from a aftermarket guy and was same price as if I ordered it myself. Let me know how it goes.Hopefully, you only need seals, but after all the work, make sure you do a complete repair so you arent doing it over. Good luck.
