Trying to find the weight of a JD 440 ICD crawler-loader. I believe the basic crawler weighs 5850 pounds but not sure how much extra the front loader weighs (bucket, hydraulics, etc).

I have a 440 icd with an 830 loader and ripper. My book lists that setup as having a weight of just over 10,000 pounds. The tractor alone is indeed around 6000, however the loader is almost 3200, and weights are 200 each. It is heavier than it looks with that loader setup. My info comes from the JD books that came with the machine ( 1959 model diesel ).

Rick and Tim:

Thanks for the information. The machine I just purchased has the 831(?) loader and a ripper on the back. Thus, it is likely similar to Ricks' 440 in weight (~10,000 lbs). Certainly more than my F-150 can move for any long distance travel.

Freind of mine had a 440 Dozer and he told me it weighed 6700. It had the 6-way blade, and a winch,so I'd have to guess the loader version would be the same+/- 5/600 lbs?
