I'm betting if you have the first 3 numbers right it's a 1970 model. You have one too many digits and serial number should only have six digits for the 350, 350B, C, & D models 1964-88.

Re: Too many serial numbers. I have the same problem. When I took the info off of the plate and took it to the dealer, he said I had too many numbers, soooo....I went back and took another look. Sure enough, I was right so now at least we know now that there are two machines of the 70s vintage out there that are "mismarked".

Lou, I just went by the hotline blue book serial numbers lists and it shows the 350 starting in 1964 with 5 digits and then in 1970-88 with 6 digits consecutively all the way thru the 350D series. It's not an official JD list so you might want to contact someone at JD thru the industrial website to find out more. If you have owners manual see if it shows anything? One digit could just be a code for factory or something.

Thanks Glen-
When I see the machine I'll recheck the ser. #. The current owner thought it might be late 60's.

Are parts still readily available for those models and years?

I'm sure many parts are still available. Below is the tech info link for JD where you can find manuals. Also try http://jdparts.deere.com to look for parts. Blue book shows the 350 made 1964-70, with #102137 beginning serial # for 1970 so yours might be a last year 350. It shows 350B beginning serial # 117500 for 1970 and it was made 1970-75. Same gas or diesel engine, JD 3 cyld. 152, 42 HP. A good JD Industrial dealer should be able to tell you more. Good luck with it.

What should this machine be valued at?

Just have to look in your local area or some construction machinery places and see. Only ad price or new list prices in ag blue book and est. loan values. They are only guides anyway so it depends on age and condition of machine and demand in area at the time.
