What is the easiest/best/cheapest way to get a dozer moved about 500 miles. Are there any better companies to use along the east coast (I'm in NC)? What are the going rates per mile now. I am looking at buying an out of state dozer and need to know how much this will add to the cost before deciding to buy. Thanks Clyde

Where do you live in NC? I have a lowboy and could haul it for you . If I can't I have several friends that could . What kind and size is it and where is it located?

I'm looking to get a 1968 ford 4500 backhoe hauled from raleigh to Mcgrew equipment in Seven valley, Pa. and bring back a skid steer backhoe attachment. Round trip is roughly 700 miles

depends on how big your talking. over width or overweight will be an arm and leg escorted would be your first born. a back haul or a dozer that could be hauled with something else (light tower skid steer ) anythign will help reduce cost

$3 per mile and up. try Dallas Mavis Freight Brokerage in Dallas. They specialize in oversize/heavy equip transport and have trucks scattered across the map.

find a heavy haul company that may be empty in the area where the equipment is sitting this way you could maybe avoid the dead head charge bacause today nobody is going to deadhead 500 miles for nothing also call up some brokers they have truckers calling in all the time looking for loads one may neeed to be heading your way. go to www.overdrive.com there should be several links for trucking companys there.

suggest Bonnett Tranportation, Inc. 877-375-4181. They moved a wide-load log skidder out of SC to WV for me. They are out of Georgia but running everywhere. They can drop a load near you & take your machine on a back haul.

It will depend on how wide, how heavy, ease of access on either end. Then you factor in the $3.00 a gallon fuel. You are probably looking at $1000. give or take for a d-6 sized machine. Even a 450 Deere sized will probably run $750.
