I have a brochure for a Smith H14 hydraulic excavator (dated 1969) and although it gives great info on specs/weights/etc it doesnt say how common this machine was, nor does it give any clue to if Smith made any other hydraulic excavators. Basically im interested in anything anyone can tell me about this machine. They did use one during restoration work on the Cromford Canal project in the 1970's. I have already tried to contact them about this machine.

I hope there is someone here who can help, or maybe point me in the right direction (a Smith/Smith-Rodley enthusiast maybe?).

Many thanks
