Air cleaner is clean,Doesnt smoke till under load.Smoke is dark and engine only smokes when speeding up engine.Should I check turbo next? How do you check it? This all happened suddenly ,worked great with no smoke when pushing hard till yesterday ,while pushing some topsoil away.Dave A

Dave it sounds like you may have lost a turbo, hope it didn't dump it's cookies into a cylinder. With the engine Cold and NOT RUNNING, take the exh stack off, reach in and try to spin the turbine wheel, also check for loose bearings. If it packed up real bad and broke a shaft you would have oil pouring out the stack onto the hood. When the turbo is working right on a good engine it should increase the intake manifold pressure about one Atmosphere, App 15 PSI when the engine is at full load.

What colour is the smoke? Does the engine make any unusual noise? Loosen the fuel lines one at a time untill you find the cyl that is not fireing and come on back with what you find.
