Looking for information on the bushings that go in the bottom rollers on a 420 crawler. I am thinking about making the bushings instead of buying. What are they made of? Are they brass or bronze, or something else? The bushings in the roller that needs repaired are gone and I have no idea what they were made of. I don't really want to take off another roller off to find out. Can someone help? Also is there a reasonable priced place to purchase a new roller shaft? Are the shafts hardened through or just case hardened? Please let me know if you can help.

Like Ralph i believe it would be cheaper to buy used. I'm in the eastern part of the country and i have used ones.

The bushings are a steel backed bushing faced with some sort of brass or bronze. Would seem to me to be virtually impossible to make yourself.
No aftermarket source for axles, only Deere.
