I have a loader with the high capacity webster hydralic pump. The hydralic pump input shaft (#u 12881) splines are stripped and with it the splines in the drive coupling on the crankshaft. This happened before (8 years ago?) and JD only had a few shafts left and said SOL on coupling it was NLA so I got a new shaft and used the best coupling I had to make it go this long. Anyone know where I can get these parts new or used??? thanks sssss sssss ss

If you have the 3/4 - 11 spline and can update to the 7/8-13 do it. 7/8 13 spline is very very popular. Jdemaris has given you a lot of good advice. I used to work for a hydraulic pump manufacture and spline wear is a problem. I would also suggest some Chelsea PTO lube on the spline to make it last longer. That condition is called fretting corrision and is nothing new. Cessna is now part of Eaton hydraulics. You can also measure the old gears in the pump and I can send you a formula and it will tell you pump size. Also remember all pumps are rated on theoretical displacement not actual so. If you want say 20 GPM at a slower engine RPM now is the time to do that. Questions?

I guess I don't understand your problem. All the parts are available new, either through Deere or other sources. I was a long-time Deere mechanic and also own a few older crawlers - including an early 1010 crawler/loader with the Webster-Electric hydraulic pump. Deere used model 4JDS1 I'll assume your's is also an early model with the transmission shifter in the dashboard since only the early machines used the Webster-Electric hydraulic pumps. Most of the Webster pump parts are no longer available unless you find them "archived" somewhere. But, a Cessna pump is an easy bolt-in replacement (same shaft, splines, etc.). You can buy new replacement pumps in many places - sometimes surpluscenter.com is your best bet. You're looking for a pump in the range of 1.5 to 3 cubic inches, two bolt SAE B mounting, etc. Late serial number 1010s and then the 350s used Cessna pumps. The splined coupler drive differed in two ways for loaders - or four ways when including dozers. Some drives had a yoke and disconnect coupler to enable belt changes, while others were direct. The major difference between dozers and loaders is that dozers had smaller pumps (13 GPM) and subsequently, a smaller diameter splined drive. Loaders use a 23 GPM pump and a larger diameter drive. Splined-shafts were usually either 3/4" diameter by 11 spline or the larger 7/8" diameter by 13 splines. In regard to your 1010, you can use pump parts from a 350 or 450 and you'll do just fine. All you need is a Cessna pump, a splined coupler, a splined shaft, and the splined coupler/adaptor that bolts to the crankshaft pulley. All these parts can be bought from Deere, many aftermarket supply places, even from Ford or Case. I bought some coupler parts from Ford to use on my Deere crawler because Ford prices were much better than Deere. My 1964 4000 Ford loader/backhoe has pretty-much the same pump and drive parts as my 1960 Deere 1010 crawler/loader. So does my Case 580CK backhoe/loader. A GOOD Deere dealer should of told you the same thing I've just stated, but GOOD dealers are getting rare.

My pump is fine, was not looking to replace pump just shaft and coupling, shaft is splined into pump gear easy to replace. As I said 8 to 10 years ago was told there were only a few shafts left and had one shipped in from Maine(I'm in NY) as it was closest. And they said no couplings available. Maybe pumps not parts available. Yes good people willing to help with old stuff hard to find and dealers are getting farther and farther apart also. Thanks much for input. Guess I should try again. If you know someone to call or online I could try them modern technology makes them closer then the nearest dealer.
