Please help me establish an approximate (estimated) value for an International TD-8 E Bulldozer w/Winch and hitch (circa 1960?). I have such a machine that was my grandfather's here in Bolivia, South America. I wish to re-build it and get it working again. It has been sitting without use for over 15 years, but it has been under roof, and apart from the appearant cosmetics, is in pretty good condition. I had re-built a '68 Cat D4 (grandfather's too) a couple of years ago that was in worse condition and have it working opening small roads. What could a Inter TD-8 E Bulldozer w/Gearmatic Winch and hitch go for? Replacement Alternator? Replacement Starter? General overhaul(parts)? All parts would have to be purchased in the states since there is no longer a sales representative in these parts. I have photos if it helps. serial number plate is worn and not easily read (4425***11**6) TD8E PS. I'm not trying to sell the machine. I am just trying to establish a reasonable value for such a machine. Obviously I need to do some repair work, I want to know what it would be worth once fixed-up.Due to vandals, several external parts were stolen or broken. I'll need to put on another alternator, valve tops, starter, batteries, electrical system re-wire, etc. In it's current condition, I assume it is worth between 500 and 1000$. Once fixed up and working, what could it go for? I've been told from 3 to 10 thousand or more, depending on condition and area, what sounds right?
I am interested in finding out all I can about this machine; any and all info is welcome. I would really like to get her back up and running. I've even purchased the owner's, operator's & parts manuals, Ha! Had 'em sent to my folks house in Texas and am waiting for the day that they get some time off to come down here to see the kids. Meanwhile, I've got no way of knowing what i've got.
Please excuse the bother, hopefully ya'll can assist me. Thanks, John Molina

I have 3 TD8 and numerous parts, sprockets, rails and engine parts. I have the final drives.
Your dozer if up and running and in good condition, that is engine good and sound could bring 15,000 to 20,000 in US..

Good Luck
Joe
