What I do and so far has worked every time is pull the injectors and fill the cylinders with a 50/50 mix of tranny fluid and turpentine. Make sure its the old type turpentine not paint thinner. I just did that to an Oliver engine yesterday and its running today.

hello, what most of the guys are doing is using carb cleaner and pouring it down where the water had entered. carb cleaner is heavier then water so it will eat it's way down to the rust. then let it sit. next some of the guys are using the BAR STARTER that i have made up to break the engine loose. check out my website and see the BAR STARTER and cats that i have gotten running after 3 years under water.

When you finally free up one of these beasts that's been wet, do you just get it running, or do you do a tear down, hone & ring? Have a Pontiac that was wet. Got it free, but haven't talked myself into a tear down. Too bad you weren't closer. Thansk, Joe in ny
