I just picked up a 350 B w/reverser. The dover does not pull well forward or reverse. The dozer does move but when you come to a load, like pulling onto the trailer, the machine quits pulling. The engine remains at the same speed but no pulling.
Any help would be great.
ps. The machine pulls better when cold and almost quits as it warms up.
Thanks, Brian

It could be steering clutches too..Pull up the floorboards . Clean off the top of the reverser control valve. [ under your left foot ].There are 2- 1/8th pipe plugs on the top of the valve. The plug that is drilled straight up [ not at an angle] is the pressure tap. Take out the plug[ a 3/16" allen should do it] screw in a 200 psi guage on a grease gun whip hose. Make sure the gear transmission is in neutral. Start engine and run at about 1/2 throttle. Watch guage as you shift the reverser lever into forward and reverse. It should read approx. 130 lbs. One thing to check is the clutch pedal return spring if pressure is not up to snuff. The pedal should be against the pedal stop, not part way down.If the pressure isn't high enough , shim the reverser pressure control valve[ bottom side of valve ] . If that doesn't help, you might have to overhaul the reverser.. To check the steering clutches ; place machine against an immovable object. Remove the ring gear inspection cover on the top of the center section [ under seat between the steering linkages]. Start machine with the small cover off and look down into the ring gear to see if the gear turns when you let the clutch out in gear. If it turns but no drive at the tracks, the steering clutches are slipping. If there is no drive at the ring gear thr reverser is slipping...

Thanks Roy,
I played with it some before I read your response and I got the steering clutches to release. I can turn a little each direction now.
I noticed 1 thing, when I am trying to go backwards, the maching makes a loud squeeling racket.
I will check the presures on the reverser controls.
Does this machine run a conventional clutch, presure plate set up? Or is it more like a hydraulic coupler?

I would check steering clutches. Sounds to me like they may be contanimated. I had a similar problem with my 350B. Wheen I replaced brake band on one side with a cheap aftermarket band. THAT SIDE WOULD GRAB AND SQEaL. You can try dumping some mineral spirits in accsess cover and flushing out housing. There is a drain plug in bottom of housing. Only do this as a last resort. Try all adjustments first.

Whats the bad news?
I checked the presure at the control valve and I have 150# forward and reverse but the machune will not pull out of its tracks.
Do I need to overhaul the reverser?
If so, what do I need to watch for when pulling engine and reverser?
Brian

Also, there is 150# with the trans in neutral and the control valve in neutral; is this right?
I started pulling the engine when it dawned on me that the presures were the same in all three positions.
