I'm replacing a broken track idler spring the manual calls for a "special" bolt to compress/secure it for removal and installation. Unfortunately the manual doesn't give the specifications for the bolt. The part number is T16678. Anyone have a clue as to the spec's. thanks
Gary

Gary, Try www.jdparts.deere.com specifications for T16678 are given. MSM is correct about using wrong or inadequate bolts on idler springs, they are extremely dangerous when "loaded". I had a 420 crawler one time and NO ONE would take idler spring off for me. Finally was able to cut bolt with hacksaw covered with a heavy tarp and it still shot through a doorway. (Won,t ever do it again!)

Get the correct bolt, the last thing you want is a substandard bolt breaking and letting the spring go.You can lose a hand,or your head when the spring comes out at 150 mph. This is not something to go cheap on!!
