Front and back. Front pump works great.
Rear pump 350 psi Max. Checked hoses spitter
valve actuator valve cylinders all looks OK. This rear pump I have had apart 5 times. I have installed it by the book and not
By any book still 350psi only? Guess now don't
Even know the right way to build it.

I take it the rear pump is the steering pump. Vane pumps have to have the rotor, vanes and cam ring right to pump. The old ones where easier but the newer ones have 4 triangles on the back plate. They are actually arrows and the bolts have to go in by the arrows pointing in the direction of rotation. The rotor needs to be installed so the slots cut across it are behind the vane not infront of it as it rotates, rotor should have an arrow too.

Thanks for the reply. I think you hit the nail on
The head. I had no idea what the triangles were
for?.Also my manual says "pump is part of a Vickers 2521. OK the new parts (carriage) has
brass wear rings my old one did not.The old one
had a rear spring new one does not appear to need
the spring.?Do I install the new kit as is
Or parts of old and new? Again Thank you Hazfun7

The new cartridge should be ready to drop right in. BUT you may have the right size cartridge that was assembled to run in the opposite direction. Take a good look at the drive splines on the shaft, they should show wear on one side, the drive side. Make sure all the parts are orientated in that direction. The significance of the triangles is there are only two bolt holes through the cam ring. When the bolts are above the right triangles, the cam ring has to be rotated to the right loaction to get them through. The neck area of the cartridge is where the pressure oil exhausts so those seals are important.
