I borrowed a small trak king dozer and while turning sharp, in reverse, on a slope (on a mine in Colorado), the track came off the front sprocket teeth and forced in towards the engine. Forgive me, I know nothing. But, does anyone know if I have to remove the master pin and break the track to get it back on - or is there a way to jump it back onto the sprocket teeth? If I have to break track, can anyone tell me the best way to do it for this small size dozer?

I've put the track back on on my 420C many times by bolting a short chain thru a sprocket hole and thru a track link.

Not familiar with Trakking dozers, but there should be a track tensioner of some sort behind front Idler. Release pressure on the tensioner to shorten the distance between front idler and rear sprocket. Position dozer up/downhill with rear uphill if at all possible.Use a block of wood to push the front idler back with the hydraulics of the dozer blade. It's easy if the dozer has 6-way blade.Lift front of dozer with blade and block it up if necessary. Good luck.

The short answer is you can put the track back on without splitting the track. I have done it like a bike chain, get the track back on the front idler and work it onto part of the sprocket, move the unit and the track will pull back on.
Use chains and prybars as needed.
