We have a FD5 dozer that has developed a lot of blow by through the crankcase breather on the left side. The dozer cranks okay and has plenty of power, does not miss or emit any gray smoke from the exhaust. It has a little more than 500 hours on it. The valves appear to be looser than normal. Will this condition of the valves cause blow-by. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Not unless you can throw a coon between the valves and valve guides.. I would think there are broken rings for some reason....You can do a cylinder leakage test to be sure..
