I have found a cheaper source for a new undercarriage for my Case 450 crawler. the place is called Equipment Sales and Service out of sudbury ontario. I got quoted today for the undercarriage and the total is about $5200.00 cdn. The local Case dealership told me I would be looking at around $10,00.00 cdn. this is a substantial difference. My question is would this difference be reflected in quality of parts? I believe i have a Case 450B. The only tag I found on my machine says A11967450B. Apparently there is a serial number break there somewhere. I got quoted for Chains, sprocket, rollers, carrier, and idler wheels for a 36 lin chain and fourteen inch pads. I only use my equipment for my own personal use (i am currently adding on to my small business, plan on building my home in the spring, restoring a log cabin in the spring, and doing all the necessary landscaping for these projects.) In addition to this I would like to do some small jobs on the side for other people but that is not my main business. Any recommendations? I would like to know what you guys think is all. ESS is a Berco dealer but I heard the girl and the guy saying to price out "non-berco" items. So i couldnt' say for sure who the manufactorer of the parts are.

Would you mind passing along the telephone
number for the "Equipment Sales & Service"
in Sudbury Ontraio? (With a generic description like that, you can imagine what
kind of results I got searching on line).
I need a distributor in south-eastern MICH.

My Case 450 has new Berco U/C parts that were installed by a place in Hudsonville Mi. They are good people to deal with, and have fair prices. I'm happy with there work.

The name is Crawler Rebuilders & Supply Inc. 1-800-288-7225 The guy there is Rick Bosch.

All i can tell you is, my 450 has Berco on it and it's holding up very good. A lot of OEM undercarriage parts are made by Berco.
