I find deals on Ebay for dozers but they always seem to be on the west coast, what is the cheapest way to ship them? My Chevy is not up to the job.I see on this board that some expiditers charge $1.35 a mile but to go 2500miles it is not worth it. I am looking at small dozers only about 7000lbs.I live in michigan .

When I bought my Case450 crawler loader, I got ripped off, I mean I bought it from a guy down south from me. It was about an seven hour drive one way. It was approximately 570 Kilometres, which for you americans is about 355 miles. I own a one ton diesel dually pick up truck and a ten ton tri-axle float. I pulled my dozer back with so much as a flat tire. Other than the cost of fuel, some lunch and a hotel room (no need to kill myself eh?), I spent about 300.00 cdn. Had I pushed it I could have cut that cost in half. 7000lbs. is not a lot of weight. Maybe you could rent a truck and trailer from a friend. Just my two cents. Hope you get it all sorted out.

I had a non-runnung car brought to Arkansas from Denver for $570 when gas was $3/gal. The company was great and I would use them again in a minute. He said he can haul 10K.
He is in Springfield MO. and he travels cross country all the time.
If you want to see if he can handle it, E-mail me and I'll give you his contact info
