Dumb question about TD dozers

Does the bigger number mean it's a bigger dozer. Like TD20 is bigger than a TD15?

No, thank God! Otherwise I"d need a ladder to get on my TD 340.

Hi Hogman,I was told that these numbers are one # down from the tonnage of the machine,My hd6 is a 7 ton dozer.May not be for all of them?Hope this helps,

Generally yes Hog but the early IHC machines where TD 30, 35 & 40. A TD40 was about the size of a TD9. The late 40 and 50 machines where T4,TD6 through TD24. Bigger# Bigger machine.

Just had a sprinkle of snow so far Naz. Had some high winds of late, twister hit Hamilton last week and tore off some roofes, one school room full of kids. Rain last few days and turned cold today. Have lots of outside work left to do. Things going slow and stuff getting in my way.
