Are undercarriage parts still available for an AC HD4 Crawler. I am considering buying one but I don't want to buy something that I can't get parts for!

Yes they are available - but some words of warning. The HD4 was replaced by the 650 series, and at the time, the bottom rollers were changed. If you order rollers new from AGCO, they will sell you the newer 650 series rollers and they will be VERY expensive. I checked a few months ago and AGCO wanted over $200 apiece maybe even close to $300. And, to add insult to injury, you have to modify the bottom rock-guards to make them fit. I bought a set of new Bercos instead. I got them new for $150 apiece and I've been told they just took a big price jump - mainly because Berco is going to discontinue rollers for older and not very common crawlers like IH 500s, AC HD4s and 650s, etc.

Stan,
It is my understanding that roller seals are still available from AGCO, but I don"t know about the rest. Berco stopped making undercarriage parts a couple years ago for them, but I think Italitrac or a couple others (I have a hard time remembering names) still produce the parts. I would contact S. Cohn in Union,MO. They should be able to get anything you need, and are pretty reasonable on price. They quoted me some prices a few years ago for my HD3, which I believe has the same undercarriage.

Good luck,
