I have a JD350 that has turned into a money pit.
I've put in new steering clutches. then I blew out a hydraulic cylinder. Got this rebuilt and then busted a hydraulic line. Fixed the line. Burned out the starter. Fixed the started and now I busted the lower radiator hose.
I have not ran this machine for more than 2 hrs. without something breaking.
I'll fix the hose in the morning and keep at it, I don't know why other than I like it.

And an engine rebuild for $4k and new u.c. for $4k, and the clutches need a rebuild and I still can't figure out why sometimes it just doesn't turn over (new switch, starter), come back five minutes later...works fine. But my, ain't it a pretty little thing all painted up, and I can get places the big machines can't get near.

I would have to agree with Bret, I just assumed that is the way this old junk worked. At least that is the way my luck seems to run.
Kind of like the $200 picture tube blowing to save the $.30 fuse.
