Need some help. I have a D3B, serial # 27Y..... I have changed the transmission oil filter located under the floor panel. However, manual shows a transmission screen, part # 6P1407. None of the manuals shows how to change.

Could someone guide me to finding this screen and how to clean/change.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, there should be a piece of the skidpan that will unbolt for changing the trans oil. Look for a plate that comes off the bottom of the trans. Later Bob

Bob;

Don't want to appear dim witted but..... I know that there is a bolt under the machine to drain transmission oil. If I remove that belly pan will I have access to this transmission screen that I have referred to. Sorry but just want to make sure that I'm in the right spot. Removed the belly pans once and what a BEAR to get back on especially when working alone

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, look under the machine for a plate about a foot square that will come off of the skidpan. You may have to take a scraper and clean off the mud to see it.

Ben I think you must have an older one with 3 Forward and 1 reverse speed trans. I think tom's is in the bottom of the trans but have to check this out for sure.
