I have a problem with my 3 cyl gas burner firing. I have replaced points, condencer & coil. Sometimes it will crank and run and other it will not. It is not firing at the points when it will not crank. What can be causing this intermitant firing? Thanks, Tom

I've had a problem like this before. Make sure that the wire from the coil to the points is not grounded. It will usually ground where the wire make connection to the points.
Second, the point plate in the distributor mist be grounded.
I hope this helps,Brian
