Looking for some advice. Will be "re-doing" the steering control valves on my D3B. Besides the O-rings is there anything else that I should be looking at to replace in these valves??

The repair manual shows a couple of springs, bushings etc. What else tends to wear in this area?

Thanks in advance!!

Tom

Tom, replace the ball bearings on the front of the plungers, and the plungers too if they have much wear. The springs should be okay if they aren't broken. When you are done adjust the brakes up tight and make sure there is no peddal travel. If there is, shorten the rods to the brakes as much as you can. Then back off brakes to get the peddal travel you want. That way the clearance will be between the drum and the band, not in the linkage. The machine should steer with a light toe pressure when you are finished.
