Yellow Paint for JD450B

Tractor Supply Store has a John Deere Yellow paint that doesn't match the color of any JD dozer I've seen, including mine. That paint is a bright yellow. My dozer's paint color looks a lot like the old catepillar yellow. So, are the Deere dozers originally painted catepillar yellow or is it a different color?

Thanks.

What is:
"John Deere Deal More Money"???
I searched the web and nothing pops up. Is this a slag name for some special distributor of paint, or what?
Thanks,
MrBill

I have used the tractor supply paint with good results if you use the hardener that goes with it. I use an airless to paint the big stuff. I have matched the TRANSPORT YELLOW with the older JD color, and It is real close. The JD yellow is for the ag tractors and is very bright yellow, not what you want. The last thing I have done is a trailer in massey orange and it looks great after 2 years, no fading.
I can get the paint from JD but It is about twice the price when all is said and done.
My 2 cents

Just to add... If you go to the JD dealership, they have two construction yellows, the cans are labled "old construction yellow" and "new construction yellow". The old yellow has more orange in it, I believe the can has the date, like for equipment after 19?? and before 19??. The paint is competitively priced and seems to be high quality. If you dont have a store near and dont want to order it, you can take a chip of paint to your local paint store and most have a computer that matches the color and mixes it.
