Any Komatsu dealer here in the U.S. should be able to help you. Dressta is a joint venture in Poland between Komatsu and a Polish firm. The crawler tractors are clones of International (Dresser) crawlers that are equipped for the most part with Komatsu engines in their Dressta badges.

Dressta has signed an agreement with Volvo Const. Equipment to supply them with Dozers. This is a rumor that I have heard, don't know if it is 100% true.
Dresser, before being sold to Komatsu had some of their units built in Poland. One of the models was the TD40 (among others).

Hi, Heat Houser,

I think this is strictly a rumor. I keep in pretty close touch with Komatsu and Dressta and I can assure you that Komatsu is still very much the main partner. At present Dressta makes ten different models of crawlers, ranging from the TD-7H at 74 hp to the TD-40C at 520 hp and they all bear a very strong resemblance to their Dresser and International predecessors. Please go to the following website and you can see photos, specs, etc.

In order to confirm what I already knew, I just now contacted Volvo Construction Equipment in Europe. Since Volvo CE does not even build crawler dozers, there is no way they could be building crawlers for Dressta.

I think he ment that Dressta would supply volvo with dozers. I thought that Dresta was fully owned by komatsu?

No, it is a joint venture between Komatsu International of America and the Polish firm HSW. For a nice explanation and background, please go to the site www.acmoc.org to its forum and look at the last entry under the topic "Is there an IHC crawler website?"
