Now that I think about it some more, I think the name on the machine I saw was "SIXER".

I am not positive it it is an actual Melroe Bobcat as far as being manuafactured by Melroe Corp.
At a local antique show here (ND) that has been financially supported by the Melroe family, I saw a machine exactly like this, except the color. It was brought there by Cy Melroe who was I believe on the board of directors of the show grounds. This was after the Melroe family had sold the company, and from what I remember in talking to CY, this was a venture that he was involved in. It was painted yellow, and had a different name on it. Other than the 6 wheels, I remember the other unique feature was the ejector bucket.
So I guess it is a Melroe in the sense that a member of the Melroe family was building it, but it was as far as I know not built by the Melroe Corporation. It is possible that Cy sold the design to Melroe Corp later, but I have never seen any more than just that one. I am about 70 miles from the Bobcat plant, and used to live across the road from the corporate headquarters, so if they did make it themselves, I would thing I would have seen one at some time.
Maybe someone else on here has more info.
