Just bought this old girl, everything works except the steering clutches, but I usually steer with the track levers anyway. I thought she might be a case 350 but the track adjusters are screw type, and I think the Case 350 and 450 had grease injected types. There is a Case insignia model identifier on one arm of the Loader, but the model number is blank. The serial number is 1001098. Might be the machine or the loader attachment SN?
I haven"t found anything that looks like this on the internet. Send me an email and I"ll send you a digital image.

Geoff, From the picture you sent me it's a 600 D . the serial # will be higher than 471 because it has flanged rear axles rather than splined with a single nut . Ser # is on the left battery box toward back and at the top just below the lid . I know it is not a 1000 as I have several 1000's both loaders and dozers .

Thanks for the suggestions -- this has helped alot. It does indeed look like a 600 series Terratrac, I found images of a loader at Link Also of a loader backhoe at Link which looks very much like the machine I have. I am away right now but will look for the serial and model number as instructed by George.

Sounds like a Case 1000. They don't have steering clutches. Each track has two levers, hi-nuetral-lo and forward-nuetral- reverse. Does it say Terra-Trac on the counterweight?
