Still looking for a machine. Bob we talked about 931s. I have found one to look at-serial #78U***** (the fellow will get the rest of the # to me when he looks at his machine.) This machine he says has dry steering cluthes. Should I be concerned with these seizing up because I will not be running this machine regularily? In fact, I will only run this machine 50-75 hrs/year.

Thanks for the quick reply Bob. This sounds like a decent machine so I think I'll go see on Wednesday. I'll be keeping this machine in BC. More humid than the Calgary area. Still coming out this way? Ralphie might be in the 'Louis' if your timing is right!

I have heard a lot about that on the boards but never saw a machine with them stuck personally. You are in a lot less humid climate than here so I don't think it will be a problem. The fiber discs in those clutches are very thick and all fiber so they can't rust in place inside of the drum. That serial # machine were the first ones made in the early 70's
