I pondered this when I rebuilt my 188. I ended up getting a set of "refurbished" injectors for something like $50 ea. I'm told that they can't really refurbish these injectors but they instead clean them up, test and adjust them. The injectors I ended up with have worked fine.

The local case dealer offered to test and adjust my injectors if I wanted to. They have a special test stand that they use. The main reason I went with the "refurbished" units is becasue I did not know the history of the engine and the old injectors were pretty carboned up and would have needed to be taken apart and cleaned up anyway.

Best of luck,
John

Hi. With the right information and access to a jerk pump to test the pressure settings of the injector, yes most types can be adjusted and set. If they need more than just a pressure adjustment, I'd recomend not doing it yourself and handing over to a specialist. John Deere's Fundamentals of Service series gives quite a detailed rundown on injector servicing in the Engines edition. Or at least the edition I've got does, but it dates to about 1970...
Cheers, JV3CII.
