I don't know what vintage your machine is and I don't have a serial number chart to date it. Small engine 450s with 6 way blades, in good shape, bring around $7000 - $8000 in my area of central New York. Straight blade machines a few thousand less. Newer 450Bs, Cs, etc. bring a lot more - especially with the bigger engines, turbos, and with the "C"s an newer, wet steering clutches. The location of the HL-R transmission varies with the age of the machine - the oldest 450s and also 2010s having it on the floor between your legs. The shifter handle, on your top-left when sitting, is the range gear transmission shifter - with four speeds. Due to a class-action lawsuit against Deere, an update kit was supposed to be ground into its quadrant to create a neutral position - that includes all 450s and 2010s with HL-Rs.
