seemes to me early d3,s are cheap compared to some other comparable dozers is there a reason for this ive never been around one thanks for your help

Early D3 also have only one reverse.Dry Cluch have owned one for last twenty years.Only repairs engine rebuild, one steering cluch.Reverse is acturaly like 2nd gear not bad after you get use to it.

I think it has to do with the clutches. D3"s have dry clutches, D3B"s and up are wet.

In this area any Caterpillar will be priced at twice what the other equivalent brands are. (meaning they are supposed to be twice as good?)
