I am looking for a parts supplier for a rebuild kit and I need a sleeve deck with pistons. Can I pull the engine and have it bored .020? I noticed in the parts books I could buy oversize pistons. Okla. Thanks

I don't believe anyone has ever had an engine kit for 1010s or 2010s. Deere never did. Parts are bought piece by piece. The 2010 diesel is one of the few engines that has oversize pistons available, so yes, the sleeve deck can be bored. You might want to figure up all the costs though, and find out if it's worth it. You can still buy a new standard size sleeve deck and pistons, the new deck is probably around $700 from Deere, and pistons $75 apiece. You also want to be sure the old deck isn't cracked. Last 2010 diesel I did, I used a new sleeve deck and rebuilt the old pistons. Rebuilding the four pistons cost me a total of $30 - that was to regroove and install shims. If the pin holes are worn, or the skirts bad, then it's not worth the bother. By the way, you don't have to pull the engine to bore it. Just pull the sleeve-deck out of the block.
