Trying to drop the transmission, but the shaft will not allow me to drop it. Any ideas.

Thank You

Can you use a comealong on one end to angle it to get more clearance?

Looking at the back of the transmission their is a shaft a 5 oclock position it clears. The other shaft drives the winch and is at 7 oclock position and will not clear. I don't see how to remove this shaft.

Thanks again

I have a 1959 d6 and the motor needs to go foward some to clear the shaft that you are talking about, in fact I have never been able to put the transmission back in with out pulling the engine.

I have stearing cluthes and main drives in a tractor that I dont run ( loacted in south texas )

Joe, that shaft doesn't come out untill you take the trans apart. Have you got the extention back to the winch off of it? The Extention should stay with the winch when you pull the trans forward. I haven't touched a 9U in years but I don't think the clutch needs to come out first.
