How far NW in Ohio, and what is left parts wise. I can always use extra feet parts as well as driveline and hydraulics. I have an HD6B. Thanks for the heads up! Eb

I've also got an HD6B. Seems first gear is awful fast and it could use one more that's lower. Is your's like that? My little Cletrac was the same way, but I fixed it by adding an aux. transmission. With the HD6B, there is too much power involved to do the same thing (I think).

MY 6 IS PRETTY QUICK, HAVING A HYDRO INSTEAD OF A DIRECT WOULD BE NICE. HOWEVER, FOR FARM AND MY DABBLING IN TIMBER THE PRICE AND RELIABILITY OF OLE ALLIS IS PERFECT. WITH THE AMOUNT OF SPACE I THINK AN AUX TRANSMISSION WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO INSTALL. AN INLINE MOUNTED PLANETARY WOULD WORK VERY WELL FOR LOW AS LONG AS IT COULD BE SHIFTED INTO DIRECT WHEN YOU WANTED TO GRADE OR PULL ON FLAT GROUND. I'M NOT SURE WHAT A BUDA 344 MAKES FOR TORQUE, YOUR CONCERN THERE IS CORRECT. THE LITTLE ENGINE WOULD SURELY WIND LIGHT DUTY COMPONENTS INTO PILES OF USELESS SALVAGE.

If you ever see an HD5 or HD6 with a rear-mounted 539 RPM PTO assembly, I've been looking for one for years. I guess they're rare. It comes with reverser and the assembly is part # 055399.
