I have a White lift truck with a Waukesha Model FC engine. I need to know the plug and point gap specifications. Engine is a 4 cylinder flathead. Any help would be appreciated.

My '50 Motor Trk/Trctor Rep Man shows Wauk FC firing order 1342, plugs .025, points .020 BUT someone else (on this site, I think: run archives for Wauk FC) had info points .018 (shouldn't make any real difference). Wauk section very sketchy, only dist mention is in timing inst, sez "...loosen dist body clamp..." but don't say whether that's all holding it in, or if anything inside falls loose if it does come out (pleasant thought). Got an FC parts book here somewhere but couldn't find the other day. MAY BE SEVERAL FC VARIATIONS;I'M NOT AN EXPERT...

Learn something new every day! We had an A-C lift truck with an FC Waukesha. Now On the Continental powered lift trucks, I have seen different distributors with different point gaps. Do you have a distributor make and model? What plugs are you using now.

I don't have a distributor number as you can barely see the distributor when installed. I am using Champion D 21. I tried to remove the distributor a while back and could not get it out. Is there any reason it cannot be removed from the engine?
