Hi, does anyone have any information on this trackloader? Approximate age, gray market, parts availability, good/bad for light farm use? It is about JD 350 size, no ROPS, cannot find any info plates on it. Local dealer is not familiar with designation. Thanks for help.

Just guessing, probably a d20 p-1, or something like that. The data plate is on the entrance side, straight down from the throttle lever. There is also usually a sticker under the hood. If it is in fact a d-20, it is a grey market machine ( this is not putting it down by any means, I have a d20 p-5 dozer ) your dealer can look up a d-21 and most parts are the same for year and number designation. My dealer has been able to get me everything I have ever needed, and was able to get listings for a d-20..... ..D..

D. Andrews-Hello, turns out it is a D20S-5 which is as you say, gray market, dealer assures that no problem with parts, guesses that it is mid eighties machine. Overall U/C looks good (non-expert opinion) but adjusters are out about 4-5 inches per side), 1060 hours on meter, non 4 way bucket linkage is tight, cutting edge very good, no books available. Right final was replaced housing and guts. He is asking around $6500. BTW Kom dealer says that D20 is straight drive and D21 is Hydro and S designates loader. Thanks for your help.

Dealer is right, d-21 is a hydrostat and d-20 is straight, actually, I like the straight better, less trouble. Machine will be a 40hp ( personally think that is under rated ) cant help you much with the loader aspect of it, but all the middle stuff I can. If adjusters are out 4-5" be looking at undercarriage befor long. Dont let that scare you though, the under carriage for these machines are really cheep if you do it your self, think I had around 3500 in mine, and that was rails, pad bolts, both sprockets, and several rollers, plus a few days work. I have the apex pads and also re-tipped those as well. All in all these are tough little machines and I have done things with mine they said a dozer it's size could not do, just takes a little longer. 6500 sounds like a good deal to me, if nothing else is wrong, paid almost double that for mine knowing it needed an undercarriage..... ..D..... ..
