Can you cut a grade with a straight blade old cable operated dozer? Any info.would help on operating a straight blade. Thanks mike

YEah you can even Blue top with them if you want. Dad and other operators did it for years. as for cutting a sloped grade I dont move the turnbuckles ill just turn crossways and make 2 blades widee dipping out enought to set my tractor on the right angle and put on track in the dip and go for it.

I imagine so , it's been done for the last 75 years or so.. If you're talking about tilting the blade, there are " turnbuckles " on the blade to tilt to cut slope desired. also there are arms that go into different holes to angle the blade. It's just not as handy as hydraulic blades..As far as just cutting straight grades....Practice , Practice , Practice...I've got a buddy that couldn't cut a grade to save his a$$. But , Man can he backdrag..... ..
