D4D battery conversion- four 6-vlot to two 12-volt

Anyone tell me how to convert my four 6-volt battery system to two 12-volt system?

Okay Chuck, it's a negative ground system. Find the cable going down to the starter solinoid. Hook that one to the Pos post of one battery. The cables in the other box should be one going to ground and one jumper over to the first battery. Hook the jumper cable between the battery boxes to the neg post of the first battery and the pos post of the second battery. Then hook the ground cable up to the negative post of the second battery. There should be a disconnect switch either in the ground cable or the jumper cable between the batterys to shut off power when the machine is not in use.

Are they mounted on each side of the seat? Does the tractor have an alternator or Generator?
