The spool valve on my Case 350 track loader is leaking quite a bit. How involved is a rebuild on one of these?

I just had my gone thru (twice). By now most of these machines have been around long enough that a simple o-ring reseal will not do it. The finish gets scored from sand lying at the top as these are mounted vertical as opposed to the Case TLB mounted horizontal. So it may need a refinish of the spool pieces and grind and polish back to original specs. Or yours may not need same. Mine is a '74 model. I will install a rubber or leather "boot over the top now to impede dirt penetration. If you want to correspond more, e-mail me and further my fone number if desired.
