I have a 742B with an interesting problem... the bucket will tip down, but not return, and the arms will go up but not down. I have the complete manual, and have my suspicions, but that part is not as clear as it might be.

Any suggestions out there???

First thing that comes to mind is does it have a self-leveling bucket valve on it?
Alot of those older machines did have the valve and they caused all kinds of problems.
Likely located in the engine compartment on the right hand side of the engine with usually a bunch of metal tube lines attached.
