The bushings/pins in the blade "T" handle controller are worn out badly. What are my options for fixing this? Thanks,
Roy

Last one I did , I changed it to individual levers. It's kind of a pain to operate, but it's a cheap fix. Deere has gotten out of control with their prices. I like the "t" handle controls for convenience of operation , but they make it impossible to replace it with like parts...

Deere sells a repair kit for $785.00!!! in reply to Sandcassle, 04-03-2006 18:47:22
Call me a tight wad, but I'm sorry. I just can't justify spending that kind of money for a handful of small parts on a 30+ year old tractor.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Looks like I'll be re-drilling/rebushing as necessary to make this part work like new...would rather pay a reasonable price for a rebuild kit though.

Chr*st! Things are changing. I used to carry of couple of those kits with me on the service truck, they were $46 each. So, it's $46 to $785 in 20 years time ?? I can't figure where some of these prices come from. Sorry I even mentioned it.

Deere sells a complete repair kit for it - but I assume it's expensive. It was a common repair that we did out in the field.

If you've got time an patience, do what the other guy suggested plus the use of some added bronze bushings.

I had the same problem with a 2010. I drilled out the holes to the next size roll pin, and installed new roll pins.
