I have the housing open to remove the steering clutch, as posted earlier, but how to I get it off of the shaft to be able to lift it out of the housing?

there are a ring of bolts on the outboard side, do I have to remove all of these? if so I need to jack up the tractor and spin the track to get to all of the since the clutch is stuck.

After I get that ring/flange off, then what?

am i missing something simple here?

thanks again for the help

Dave

There's a ring of bolts on both sides of the brake-drum. One side bolts to the hub on the final-drive input, and the other side bolts to the drive hub that is connected to the ring and pinion drive. Get all the pins and hardward out of the brake band, and then use brake-band as a grab-handle to pull the entire assembly out. It's usually best to hook some chains to the end hooks on the brake-band.
