I have an old Little Giant track hoe I'm trying to get moving agaoin . The bevel drive gears never got adjusted and began to slip,,and have rounded teeth off . No replacement gears to be found . Lto of work to try and weld up and remachine them . Thought about trying to eliminate them and go to soem sort of hyd drive ,,,could mount the motor on saft where gears used to go .Any ideas on this process?? Not sure what I'd actually need as far as motor , valving etc. should be way to use existing pump ? Thanks ,,,Bryan

I think if I were you , I would scour the boneyards for oem or used parts to rebuild what you have.. I would think you would have to put a hydraulics expert on retainer for such a project..I once converted a Towmotor fork truck to hydrostatic drive after the FNR transmission bit the dust. It worked OK but not exceptional..You will have to take into account ;speed , power [ torque ], cooling .At pressure will the GPM [ gallons per minute ] be right?? Lots to ponder.....
