Hi Scotty, Like Jim, I've heard that final drive leaks are common with 933. Not my experience with the one I've had for the past 7 yrs. I've found it to be a great machine, well-balanced between power and weight. I've pushed mine to stall, nothing breaks. Not a large tractor, but I've done large work with it. Recently I was hired by a guy who couldn't find anybody to touch his job. It was cutting in a road up a mountain with large boulders. With no idea what they weighed, I told him I'd try, but no guarantee of success. The driveway's in. I moved rocks that weighed considerably more than the tractor (downhill only). He, and the other old guys in the neighborhood found great entertainment watching me. Fast it wasn't, running in 1st gear to avoid tractor damage, but the rocks got moved. Driveway was complete in just over half the time I'd estimated, 1/3 the time he expected. The original driveway I bought it to complete was my own, including removing 80' tall oaks on a very steep slope. It performed admirably. Has made me considerably more money than I paid for it since. For my market, the price you were quoted is good- IF it's a good machine. Which is to say you shouldn't buy that tractor without somebody perhaps more knowledgeable than you to check it out. I've included an address if you want to email me. My experience includes rebuilding my transmission, a major PITA. If you buy it, make sure you get an owners' manual. There are grease points you won't find otherwise. The repair manual is equally indispensable if you get into the innards. Good luck.
