Does anyone know if/and where you can get the plastic timing line locator indicator for Roosamaster DB/JDB pumps. I realize I'll probably never use it after this rebuild, but I would like to get the correct timing on my JDB431AL2731 pump. My local John Deere dealer said they haven't had them in years because they send all their pump work to the pump shops. No more inhouse

That makes no sense, but I guess it's the way things are going everywhere. A dealer can't, or won't . . . even attempt to make simple adjustment for timing advance? Boy, have things changed in just a few years.

Try US Diesel in Fort Worth Texas is a dealer and will ship parts. I know they sell Roosamaster repair manuals and other service tools. But, since they are a pump shop and not a tractor repair shop, I'm not sure if they have the window or not. It is Roosamaster part # 13366
Their phone number is 800-328-0037.

Thanks for the reply.. I bought all my pump parts from US Diesel like you suggested. Good folks to do business with. Unfortunately my parts are already on the way so I can"t add to this order but I"ll call the guy I"ve been dealing with and see if he can mail it to me. Thanks for the Roosamaster part number...All I had was the Deere number.

Just as an add on, I took your advice and bought a new starter on E_BAY. Yup, I grew a set and tried it again. Good luck this time.. The starter was shipped immediately from DSA in Georgia and it already arrived today. $179.00 plus shipping. Fits like a glove..gear reducted and all.
