We have a JD350 crawler and it gets crud in the sediment bowl after a few hours running and has to be cleaned to keep it running. Without taking the tank off can anyone think of a way to get the loose crud to flush out. May swish around a long brush shoved down the inlet? pour in muratic acid? (it would drain on the undercarriage) The drain plug is bugered up, have to drain thru the outlet hole.

I tried a product on a tractor called POR-15 gas tank treatment and was very impressed by it. You buy the kit and it is a 3 step process. First you degrease the tank, then you etch it, and finally you seal it. All of what you need comes in the kit and it really works. (You do have to remove the tank from the vehicle).

After cleaning, remove the sediment bulb assembly and insert a plastic or copper tube in the inlet- leave it stick up about an inch. Keeps bottom tank crud from getting into inlet.

I cleaned the fuel tank on my 450 before using a high pressure washer.I took an old piece of metal pipe and made a new spray wand with a 90 degree bend in it so I could spray the whole tank including the top of the inside. After letting it dry for a little bit I took a garden sprayer and sprayed out the inside with diesel to remove all the water.

hello, i would take the tank off and take it to a rad shop and have it cleaned. if you don't do it right you will be banging your head for a while. also if you don't mind, just cut a hole in the tank. clean it out and weld it back up.

thansk
