Hi, I have a drain tile to fix and was going to rent a terramite, mini backhoe/loader from Lowes for $160 a day. I need it for about 1 day.
My question is, can the front bucket on that thing dig up dirt or does it need to be loose for the loader bucket to get it?

The other option is to get a cub-cadet miniloader backhoe that is larger, but it is $225 per day. It is much beefier and larger.

Your opinions, please.

Terramite makes a darn fine machine..My only opinion with lighter machines is , The bigger , heavier machine will do more work in less time..If you ever used a Terramite or the Cub, you will see the difference between the two..I used a Ford 1300 loader-backhoe in my back yard, It was like using a back scratcher...It took forever to dig up a septic line that was crushed..
