I dropped the oil pan and could not find any rust trails where the water is getting in, but there was still some milky oil on the cam and on the gears under the water pump. It was running fine when the oil pressure light came on, but when I checked the oil it was full of anti freeze. It only has about 3 hours on an engine rebuild. Would a problem with the oil cooler dump that much water? I am not a happy camper.

Check the waterpump weep hole for plugged condition..I've seen this happen before on an older model Cat..The weep hole being plugged can cause the coolant to dump into crankcase instead of going out and showing up externally...OR NOT.. Pressurize the cooling system...It will definitly show a coolant leak elsewhere..

While the pan is down, fill the cooling system with water and see if you can see where it is coming from.If it doesn't show up non-pressured,rig up an air fitting on the fillneck or the overflow vent and carefully pressurize it to around 5-7 lbs. This will show you where the water is getting in.
