I am looking at a Cat D7 on ebay. Says it has a has the finals out on the right side.
How much are we talking to fix this. I can do the work I just need to know what parts will cost.
Thanks, Brian

If the machine is an older low drive D7 the finals are pretty spendy to work on. A 100 ton sprocket puller is required to separate the sprocket from the live axle so the drive can be disassembled. You will have to have your Cat dealer do this for you. These machines are also infamous for the dead axle spinning in the main frame and needing expensive machine work. Buyer beware!
