I'm not familiar with a reverser gauge, what I've saw on Int. equip as well as alot of Case is a charge pressure gauge.
It lets you monitor the charge pressure is basically all it does, most I've saw dont have actual psi numbers just the green, yellow and red indications.
Running in the red you have a problem, likely it's the pump itself, some equip. have a suction strainer or filter in the line where the pump gets its oil from that may cause a problem.
If you have good enough pressure at start up then as the machine warms up the pressure starts to go down, thats indicitave of a pump.
